Job Duties
- Make, serve, and demonstrate complex knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes
- maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls and the cleanliness of the bar and equipment
- account for poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork
- provide bartender and bar porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service and bartending
- demonstrate proficiency in food service, knowledge of menu, allergies, and other potential guest restrictions
- resolve guest complaints within scope of authority, otherwise refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
- utilize special tools and culinary equipment to prepare items like fresh juice a la minute, infusions, molecular style cocktails, cutting ice, and production of presentations items
- maintain effective communication with management, bartenders, and lateral departments in order to fully accompany any guest or employee needs
- utilize sales techniques in order to up sell food and beverage products available in the outlet while having a pristine dedication to refinery resulting in polished yet artistic cocktails, serving to elevate the guests’ experience
