The role of Apprentice Bartender at Aria, a flagship property within the MGM Resorts portfolio, is an exciting entry-level position designed for individuals eager to learn the craft of bartending while building a foundation in guest service. The Apprentice Bartender supports the main bartenders by assisting in drink preparation, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, and ensuring that the workspace remains well stocked with all necessary supplies such as glassware, garnishes, and beverages. Job Requirements
- Is 21+ years of age
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
- 1+ years of prior relevant experience preferred
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Strong guest service orientation
- Ability to resolve guest complaints within scope of authority
Job Qualifications

- 1+ years of prior relevant experience, preferably as an apprentice bartender in a resort setting
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties
- Assist the bartender with preparation of drinks, mixes and garnishes
- Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar area
- Maintain sufficient stock of all items and products in designated work areas
- Ensure proper set up, labeling, stocking and delivery of alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice
- Clean equipment, tools, supplies, polish glassware and ensure equipment is in working order
- Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
- Promote and maintain the highest level of service to all guests while staying alert to their needs, and respond effectively to guest inquiries
- Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority
- otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
