This role also involves merchandising bakery creations beautifully in the sales display to attract and delight customers, ensuring product freshness and proper rotation.

Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Standing or walking for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift
- Hand use including grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- Frequent bending, twisting, squatting and reaching motions
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work in temperatures range from freezing to above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Capacity to work in wet and dry conditions
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to safely use knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
- May require ladder use

- Minimum of six months tenure at Whole Foods Market or equivalent grocery retail experience
- Completion of assigned operational training
- Good standing with no active final warnings (for internal candidates)
Job Duties
- Assemble cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order bakery items
- Build, ice, and decorate cakes following standard procedures
- Complete production and spoilage records and adjust production sheets
- Prioritize production lists and recommend adjustments
- Merchandise and display products attractively, monitor freshness and product rotation
- Create special order cake designs based on customer preferences
- Provide excellent customer service and suggestive selling
- Maintain clean and sanitary work environment and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Support company core values and promote store initiatives
- Successfully complete the Bakery Decorator Apprentice Program
- Perform other duties as assigned
