This position is based in the Wailuku Weinberg - Occupational Health Department within the Mapunapuna Medical Offices in Honolulu, Hawaii. The role being offered is a full-time, entry-level receptionist and administrative support position with a standard day shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. This includes greeting patients courteously, registering them, verifying health plan eligibility, and helping with health plan coverage inquiries. The receptionist will also handle appointment cancellations and rescheduling, generate patient charts and forms, and keep track of registration supplies.
In addition to routine administrative tasks, this role demands professionalism and strong communication skills, as the receptionist serves as a central contact point for patients, physicians, and clinic staff. The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently—such as screening calls, maintaining appointment schedules, and compiling reports—is crucial. The position also emphasizes cultural sensitivity and teamwork to ensure all patients receive respectful and effective service.
