This commitment drives Getinge to develop and deliver life-saving technologies that improve patient care and streamline operational efficiency.

The role of Application Specialist, Bioprocessing at Getinge is a critical position that combines technical expertise with customer engagement to support bioprocessing technologies across the North American market. Key responsibilities of the role include delivering technical training programs for biotechnology and academic laboratories, troubleshooting advanced bioprocess equipment, and optimizing process control strategies, including PID control. The specialist will work closely with regional Territory Managers to understand customer needs during quoting and equipment configuration. They will also facilitate hands-on demos, installations, and virtual or onsite trainings. Providing expert advice on protocol optimization, scale-up strategies, and hardware implementation is another crucial aspect of the role, aimed at helping customers achieve long-term success with their bioprocessing systems.

Additionally, the Application Specialist will maintain open lines of communication with Getinge’s factory regarding product issues, customer feedback, and new feature requests, ensuring that product development aligns with customer needs. Participation in beta site testing and staying informed on competitor technologies are vital for continuous improvement and innovation. They will also collaborate with customers to develop application notes, case studies, and white papers that showcase process outcomes, innovative solutions, and best practices in bioprocessing.

An advanced degree is preferred but not mandatory. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, deep knowledge of mammalian and microbial cultivation techniques, and hands-on experience with bioreactors, control systems, sensor technology, and single-use technologies. Proficiency with MS Office and strong troubleshooting capabilities are essential to excel in this role.
