The Appliance Service Technician role at CSC ServiceWorks is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy solving mechanical problems and working independently in the field. This position involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing washers, dryers, and air-vending machines across client sites within specific regions. The technician is responsible not only for repairs but also for maintaining appliances through routine maintenance to ensure peak performance and longevity. Customer service plays a significant part in this job, requiring technicians to interact professionally with customers, address inquiries, offer advice, and recommend proper appliance care to minimize future issues. Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • ability to pass pre-employment screening
  • basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
  • previous experience in appliance repair or a related field preferred
  • good interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • physical stamina and dexterity to handle and maneuver heavy appliances
  • basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes
  • must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
  • willingness to work in various environmental conditions both weather and non-weather related

Job Duties

  • Perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of appliances such as washing machines, dryers, and air-vending machines
  • conduct routine maintenance and preventative services on appliances to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan
  • interact with customers professionally and address their concerns providing accurate information regarding the repair or maintenance process
  • maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs performed, parts used, and prepare service reports updating the internal database
  • monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and tools, order necessary parts and equipment
  • adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with electrical systems and appliances ensuring personal and customer safety
  • operate independently within assigned regions managing time efficiently and meeting customer expectations
