Job Description
Flynn Group, founded by Greg Flynn in 1999, began its journey with the acquisition of eight Applebee's restaurants. Over the past two decades, Flynn Group has experienced significant growth by building new stores and acquiring other franchise operators, becoming the largest Applebee's franchisee globally. This impressive foundation has empowered Flynn Group to diversify its portfolio, expanding into different brands, countries, and industries. Today, Flynn Group owns and operates over 460 Applebee's restaurants across 24 states, establishing itself as a leader in the restaurant franchising industry.
Flynn Apple's is one of seven premier brands under the Flynn Group umbrella, a company renowned for its diverse portfolio of world-class restaurant brands, including Arby's, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Planet Fitness. As the largest franchise operator worldwide, Flynn Group is committed to excelling within each brand it operates through a focus on core values: Genuine Care for People, Playing like a Champion, and Winning as a Unified Team.
The role of the Applebee's Assistant Manager is critical within this dynamic, fast-paced environment. This position involves daily engagement in all facets of restaurant operations, ensuring an outstanding guest and staff experience. The Assistant Manager is a leader tasked with cultivating a positive culture that aligns with the company’s core values while managing operational challenges skillfully. Candidates for this role must excel in problem-solving, leadership, and stress management, thriving under pressure while fostering a passionate team environment.
Responsibilities include maintaining exceptional service standards, managing inventory, enforcing safety and sanitation protocols, and supporting all team members in their roles. The Assistant Manager also plays a significant role in training and developing the staff, ensuring each team member receives guidance, performance feedback, and opportunities for growth within the company's Management Development Program. This role demands a hands-on approach, including participation in all restaurant activities like cooking, bartending, seating guests, and problem resolution.
Flynn Group offers a full-time employment opportunity with a projected total compensation between $58,000 and $70,000 annually. This package is complemented by a comprehensive benefits program including 401(k) and matching contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, flexible schedules, employee discounts, and paid training. Working directly with Flynn Group means joining a company that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous professional development, providing a supportive and rewarding workplace where leaders are cultivated and success is shared as one unified team.
