The role of an Applebee's Assistant Manager at Flynn Group is a dynamic and integral position within the restaurant’s day-to-day operations. As an Assistant Manager, you will engage in a broad range of responsibilities to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly and guests have an exceptional experience. Job Requirements

Ability to work various shifts including weekends
Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to ten hours
Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to read and write to facilitate communication
Finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus

Job Duties

Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
Maintains departmental inventory levels
Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
Maintains effective safety and security programs
Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to General Manager/Area Director
Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
Implements Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
Maintains trained staff through use of orientation, training sessions, meetings, and company policy implementation
Participates in employee development using One-on-One meetings and performance documentation
Provides fair feedback and works with employees on development
Monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary situations
Assures compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures
Controls costs in assigned department
Complies with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
Drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories
Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
Ensures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
Provides a role model for managers and employees
Develops self on all store related technology
Works in all restaurant positions as needed
Uses the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
