The role of an Applebee's Assistant Manager within Flynn Group is an engaging leadership position focused on overseeing all facets of daily restaurant operations. Job Requirements

Ability to work various shifts including weekends
ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to ten hours
ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
ability to read and write for communication
possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications also a plus

Job Duties

Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
maintains departmental inventory levels
ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meets company standards by performing line checks
effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
maintains effective safety and security programs
promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
performs routine maintenance and immediately reports to the General Manager/Area Director of needed repairs
promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
promotes Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers
helps maintain a trained staff through effective use of employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and implementation of company policy and training systems
participates in constant development of employees using One-on-One and performance documentation and contributes to written evaluations
assesses employee efficiency, provides fair feedback, and works continuously on employee development
monitors acceptable employee performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary or corrective action
assures compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures
controls costs in assigned department
ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines
drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories and is accountable for completion
prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
provides a role model for managers and employees
develops self on all store-related technology
must be willing and able to work in all positions and assist in a team member position as needed
uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
