Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to ten hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to read and write for communication
  • Finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and train teams effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and food safety standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations

Job Duties

  • Ensure timely friendly service according to company guidelines achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivate a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
  • Respond immediately and correct all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • Prioritize guest contact with completion of required table visits
  • Maintain departmental inventory levels
  • Ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands
  • Maintain effective safety and security programs
  • Promote and lead restaurant organization cleanliness and sanitation
  • Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs to General Manager or Area Director
  • Promote quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
  • Implement Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • Maintain a trained staff through employment orientation individual training sessions employee meetings and company policy implementation
  • Participate in employee development using one-on-one sessions performance documentation and write evaluations
  • Assess employee efficiency provide fair feedback and work on employee development
  • Monitor employee performance and document situations requiring disciplinary or corrective action
  • Assure compliance with company policies practices and procedures
  • Control costs in assigned department
  • Comply with local state and federal laws regulations and guidelines
  • Drive bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories at AD or GM's request and ensure completion
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
  • Assure sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Provide a role model for managers and employees
  • Develop self on all store related technology
  • Work in all positions and assist in team member positions as needed including cooking line expo seating guests bartending
  • Use the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
