The role of an Applebee's Assistant Manager at Flynn Group offers an immersive and dynamic experience in daily restaurant operations. Candidates ideally have 2-3 years of restaurant management experience, with certifications like Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol being advantageous. Physical stamina is essential as the role requires standing for extended periods, working various shifts including weekends, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- Good reading and writing skills
- Finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
- Serve Safe Food and Alcohol certifications preferred

Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit

- Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
- Maintains departmental inventory levels
- Ensures product preparation and presentation meeting company standards by performing line checks
- Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- Maintains effective safety and security programs
- Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
- Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- Maintains trained staff through orientation, individual training sessions, and employee meetings
- Participates in employee development and performance evaluations
- Assesses employee efficiency and provides fair feedback
- Monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary actions
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures
- Controls cost in assigned department
- Compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations
