The role of the Applebee's Assistant Manager within Flynn Group is dynamic and integral to the daily success of the restaurant. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $78,000 per year and plays a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of service, quality, and operational efficiency that Applebee's is known for. As an Assistant Manager, you will engage with every aspect of the restaurant's operations—from leading and motivating the team to managing inventory and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Your responsibilities will include enforcing company service guidelines to deliver timely and friendly experiences to guests, cultivating a positive culture aligned with Flynn Group's core values, and handling guest complaints promptly and effectively. You will oversee employee scheduling to match sales demands, maintain inventory levels, and ensure that product preparation meets strict company standards through routine checks. Job Requirements

At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
Ability to work various shifts including weekends
Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours
Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to read and write to facilitate communication
Finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle stress and multitask
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in staff development and performance management
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Familiarity with inventory and cost control procedures
Ability to work various shifts including weekends
Physical stamina for extended hours and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
Ensures guest contact with completion of required table visits
Maintains departmental inventory levels
Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
Maintains effective safety and security programs
Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
Promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
Helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, meetings, and policy implementation
Participates in employee development and performance evaluations
Assesses employee efficiency and provides feedback
Monitors employee performance and documentation for disciplinary action
Assures compliance with company policies and procedures
Controls cost in assigned department
Compliance with local, state, and federal laws and guidelines
Drives food and liquor inventories at Management's request
Prepares and submits daily paperwork accurately
Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department requirements
Provides a role model for managers and employees
Develops self on store related technology
Works in all positions and assists in team member roles as needed
Uses Management Development Program for leadership growth
