The role of an Applebee's® Assistant Manager is a dynamic and integral position within the restaurant, involving the management of day-to-day operations to ensure a superior guest and staff experience. As an Assistant Manager, you will inspire passion in both guests and team members through outstanding service and leadership. Job Requirements
- Must have ability to work various shifts including weekends

- possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivates a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values
- ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- prioritizes guest contact with required table visits per Flynn Applebee's standards
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
- effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- maintains effective safety and security programs
- promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
- performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- facilitates Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- maintains a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, and policy implementation
- participates in employee development through One-on-One meetings and performance documentation
- provides fair feedback and works on employee development areas
- monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary situations
- ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
- controls costs in assigned department
- complies with local, state, and federal laws and guidelines
- drives food and liquor inventories as requested
- prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- assures sanitation standards meet health department and company standards
- provides a role model for managers and employees
- develops self on all store-related technology
- works in all positions and assists team members as needed
- employs the Management Development Program for leadership growth
