Job Description

Flynn Applebee's, one of the seven premier brands of Flynn Group, is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $78,000 per year. As an Assistant Manager, you will be deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. You will be a team leader focused on cultivating an atmosphere where both guests and employees feel valued and engaged. This role demands strong problem-solving abilities, the capacity to perform well under pressure, and the versatility to contribute across various positions within the restaurant when needed. The Assistant Manager will play a vital role in ensuring that service meets company guidelines and that staff operate according to Flynn Applebee's core values. Your responsibilities will include maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentation, managing inventory and costs, scheduling staff, managing safety and sanitation protocols, and promoting a positive and productive team environment.

You will actively participate in training new managers, handling employee evaluations, and fostering career development within your team. Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Effective reading and writing skills
  • Finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stress
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of our core values and beliefs
  • Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • Ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • Maintains departmental inventory levels
  • Ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
