Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications a plus
  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours and exert well-paced mobility
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
  • Ability to read and write to facilitate communication
  • Must work various shifts including weekends
  • Must be willing and able to work in all restaurant positions as needed
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Willingness to participate in training and development programs
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • Cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
  • Ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints
  • Ensures guest contact with required table visits
  • Maintains departmental inventory levels
  • Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards
  • Effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • Maintains effective safety and security programs
  • Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
  • Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of team member and management candidates
  • Promotes training procedures for new managers
  • Helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, and employee meetings
  • Participates in employee development using One-on-One sessions and performance documentation
  • Assesses employee efficiency and provides regular feedback
  • Monitors acceptable employee performance and documents corrective action
  • Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
  • Responsible for controlling cost in assigned department
  • Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations
  • Drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories and completes required paperwork
  • Assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
  • Provides a role model for managers and employees
  • Develops expertise in all store-related technology
  • Assists in various team member positions as needed
  • Uses the Management Development Program for leadership growth
