As an Applebee's Assistant Manager within Flynn Group, you will play a critical role in the daily operations of the restaurant. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of up to $65,000 per year. The Assistant Manager is a vital leader who helps ensure guests receive timely and friendly service, consistent with company standards. Beyond guest service, the role demands strong leadership skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to effectively handle stressful situations. You will be responsible for cultivating a positive culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values, managing staff performance and development, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and maintaining operational excellence in areas such as inventory control and restaurant cleanliness. Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours
  • ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to read and write to facilitate communication
  • finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications a plus

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
  • ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • ensures product preparation and presentation meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • performs routine maintenance and immediately reports to the General Manager/Area Director of needed repairs
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates
  • promotes Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • helps maintain a trained staff through effective use of orientation, individual training, meetings and company policy implementation
  • participates in employee development through One-on-One and performance documentation and contributes to written evaluations
  • assesses employee efficiency and provides regular feedback
  • monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary or corrective actions
  • assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures
  • controls cost in assigned department
  • complies with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines
  • drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories as requested and is accountable for completion
  • prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
  • provides a role model for managers and employees
  • develops self on all store related technology
  • willing and able to work in all positions including cooking, expo, seating guests, bartending
  • uses the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
