Job Description
Flynn Group, founded by Greg Flynn, began its journey in 1999 with the acquisition of eight Applebee's restaurants. Over the past two decades, Flynn Group has grown by building new stores and acquiring other franchise operators, becoming the largest Applebee’s franchisee in the world. This growth has created a strong foundation that allowed Flynn Group to expand into multiple brands, countries, and industries. Currently, Flynn Group owns and operates over 460 Applebee's restaurants spread across 24 states.
The Flynn Applebee’s brand is one of the seven premier restaurant and fitness brands under the Flynn Group umbrella. Flynn Group’s diversified portfolio includes well-known brands such as Applebee’s, Arby’s, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, and Planet Fitness. The company’s mission is clear: to be the premier operator within each of these brands by focusing on core values such as caring genuinely for people, playing like champions, and winning as one unified team. This strong culture and leadership commitment have driven Flynn Group to become the largest franchise operator in the world, setting industry standards in customer service, team development, and operational excellence.
As an Applebee's Assistant Manager within Flynn Group, you will be deeply engaged in all aspects of restaurant operations each day. The role is dynamic, challenging, and rewarding, demanding a proactive approach to managing staff, maintaining service quality, and enhancing guest experiences. Your responsibility will be to lead and inspire your team to deliver outstanding service and uphold Applebee’s reputation for hospitality and quality. You will be a key influencer in building a positive and supportive work environment where employees thrive and customers return.
In this leadership position, you will be expected to handle various operational duties including ensuring timely and friendly service, managing inventory and product quality, scheduling staff effectively, enforcing safety and sanitation standards, and resolving guest complaints swiftly and professionally. You will also participate in recruiting and training new team members, supporting ongoing employee development, and collaborating with management to reach financial and operational goals. The role requires flexibility, as you must be ready to assist in any team position as needed, such as cooking, bartending, or seating guests.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $78,000 per year. Employment is in-person and offers comprehensive benefits including 401(k) plans with matching, dental and health insurance, paid time off, flexible scheduling, employee discounts, and paid training. Joining Flynn Group means becoming part of a premier team that values growth, teamwork, and excellence in the hospitality industry, making this opportunity ideal for experienced restaurant managers who are passionate about leadership and guest service.
