Currently, InterSolutions is seeking motivated and reliable Apartment Maintenance Technicians for multiple immediate openings across various apartment communities. These full-time and part-time roles focus on supporting the day-to-day maintenance needs of residential complexes. As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that communities function smoothly by addressing maintenance requests promptly and maintaining common areas as well as individual units.

The role demands a hands-on professional with practical knowledge in electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and minor carpentry tasks. You will be responsible for completing service tickets and work orders efficiently, preparing vacant apartments for new residents by managing turnovers, and keeping the grounds and common spaces clean and safe. Your customer service skills will be vital as you interact directly with residents to provide exceptional support and address concerns.

Key responsibilities include electrical repairs such as fixing circuits, switches, and breakers; servicing and installing household appliances like stoves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers; plumbing repairs including dealing with toilets, sinks, vanities, and garbage disposals; performing minor carpentry repairs involving doors, window screens, and blinds; as well as painting and drywall repair. Additionally, the role involves removal of bulk trash and clearing minor drain and sewer line obstructions.

Successful candidates will have basic knowledge of maintenance repairs across various systems, ideally with previous apartment maintenance experience. HVAC certification is a valuable addition but not required. Strength and physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds and work safely on ladders are important for this position. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective coordination with property managers and residents, and flexibility to work weekends when required is expected.
