The role of Apartment Cleaner at SMI Property Management is vital for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and readiness in vacant units. This position is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently across various locations within the Mid-Willamette Valley. The Apartment Cleaner will focus primarily on the preparation and cleaning of vacant residential units, ensuring units are spotless and ready for showings and move-ins. This involves more than just cleaning inside the apartments; it may also require cleaning assignments around the property’s interior and exterior areas, such as laundry rooms and common spaces. Attention to detail is critical as the Apartment Cleaner must ensure all cleaning work meets SMI’s established standards for quality and thoroughness.
This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $20.00 per hour, with the salary based on experience. Mileage reimbursement is available for those using their personal vehicle, and there is also the possibility of use of a company vehicle. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, allowing for a consistent weekday routine. The position requires reliable transportation along with a valid driver’s license because of the need to travel between multiple property locations.
In addition to cleaning responsibilities, the Apartment Cleaner is expected to report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or potential damages they encounter during their work. Strong communication skills are important in order to effectively notify management and help maintain a safe and well-kept environment throughout the properties.

- Experience in cleaning, preferably in vacant unit cleaning
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work thoroughly, efficiently, and independently
