Job Description
Marriott International is the world’s largest hotel company, renowned globally for its expansive portfolio of brands, hotels, and career opportunities. With a firm dedication to diversity and inclusion, Marriott actively cultivates a working environment where associates from varied backgrounds are welcomed, valued, and celebrated. This culture of respect and commitment to equal opportunity supports associates in their professional growth and personal development. Marriott’s reputation for excellence is backed by a commitment to non-discrimination on any protected basis, including disability, veteran status, or other factors as safeguarded by applicable law.
Located at 1705 Centre Creek Drive in Austin, Texas, the Marriott facility offers a vibrant workspace where associates can thrive. The position being offered is a full-time, non-management role in the Reservations category, requiring candidates to live within 100 miles of the site. This ensures close alignment with team dynamics and operational efficiency. Marriott promises a professional environment where every team member contributes to enhancing the loyalty and experience of its guests.
The Anytime Ambassador role at Marriott is integral to delivering seamless, high-quality customer service to the company’s most loyal guests. As a member of the Reservations team, the Anytime Ambassador responds promptly to guest inquiries via phone and email, acting as an essential touchpoint for members when their Personal Ambassador is unavailable or immediate assistance is necessary. The job involves managing a global phone and email queue, where the ambassador expedites requests efficiently, ensuring members receive timely and personalized service.
Anytime Ambassadors are tasked with proactively listening to guests, diagnosing their needs, and recommending tailored travel solutions that enhance the overall guest experience, thereby deepening brand loyalty. They handle immediate requests with urgency and escalate more complex issues to the appropriate personal ambassadors for follow-up. This role demands not only excellent communication skills but also an aptitude for problem-solving, multitasking, and attention to detail.
Adherence to company policies and standards is paramount in this role. Ambassadors maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information, safeguarding company assets at all times. They are responsible for reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly to management. The role also involves maintaining a welcoming atmosphere by adhering to company service principles such as greeting guests warmly, anticipating needs, thanking guests authentically, and using professional language and telephone etiquette.
In addition to guest interaction, Anytime Ambassadors cultivate positive working relationships within the team and collaborate effectively with colleagues to support service goals. The role includes compliance with quality assurance standards and the flexibility to undertake various reasonable job duties as assigned.
On a physical level, the position requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, as well as the ability to move or handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Though no supervisory experience or specific licenses are required, a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred, along with at least six months of relevant experience in a Loyalty Knowledge group or higher. This experience ensures the ambassador is well-prepared to navigate Marriott’s service expectations and member engagement protocols.
Joining Marriott as an Anytime Ambassador means becoming part of a global team dedicated to excellence, hospitality, and guest satisfaction. It is a unique opportunity to build a career in the dynamic hospitality industry, working for a company that values its people as its greatest asset. The role promises a fulfilling work environment where associates can bring their best selves to work every day.
