Job Description
The Ansonborough is a boutique hotel situated in Charleston's historic district, offering a distinctive blend of historic charm and Southern hospitality. Known for its intimate luxury inn ambiance, the property features some of Charleston's largest guestrooms, showcasing high ceilings, rich wood paneling, rustic beams, and curated décor that beautifully reflects the local culture. Originally, the building served as a stationer's warehouse and has since been transformed into a luxurious space that honors its architectural heritage while providing modern comforts for guests. The hotel prides itself on creating a warm and refined environment that connects tradition with contemporary hospitality, making it an ideal place for staff who appreciate personalized service and storytelling through their guest interactions.
The Ansonborough is currently seeking a Front Desk Agent to join their team – a role critical to the guest experience. This full-time position is designed for individuals who excel at creating welcoming experiences from the moment guests arrive through their entire stay. The Front Desk Agent acts as the face of the hotel, responsible for delivering warm greetings, facilitating smooth check-ins and check-outs, and ensuring effective communication between guests and the hotel team. This role demands multitasking excellence as agents manage reservations, handle special requests, and troubleshoot any challenges to create seamless service. Employees in this role become experts in hospitality, focusing on memorable first impressions that translate into lasting positive guest experiences.
As part of the Ansonborough team, Front Desk Agents benefit from a competitive compensation package with the added advantage of daily pay options available, allowing for financial flexibility. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as disability income insurance and life insurance options, contributing to comprehensive health and wellness support. The opportunity for paid time off, participation in an employee assistance program, and enrollment in a 401k retirement plan provide further reasons to join this distinguished hotel. This role is best suited for organized, personable individuals with a knack for problem-solving, a strong ability to communicate clearly, and a passion for delivering unparalleled guest service. High school diploma or equivalent and familiarity with hotel management software and Microsoft Office are preferred, along with prior experience in hospitality settings. Those who thrive in this position not only enhance guests' stays but also contribute to the heritage and brand reputation of The Ansonborough hotel.
