Job Description
The California Conservation Corps (CCC) is a dynamic state agency committed to empowering young adults through impactful conservation programs, including wildfire firefighting, forestry, and energy sector-related initiatives. Established to provide meaningful employment and development opportunities for individuals ages 18 to 25, the CCC fosters both personal growth and community improvement throughout California. By engaging thousands of young individuals every year, the CCC plays a vital role in promoting environmental stewardship, workforce readiness, and civic responsibility.
The Communications Outreach Recruitment and Enrollment (CORE) Unit serves as a crucial gateway in the CCC's transformative journey. This unit actively reaches out to diverse youth populations across the state and shepherds them through the recruitment and enrollment process. The Analyst 1 Recruiter-Fresno role within the CORE team is specifically designed to support the recruitment and retention of candidates for CCC's residential centers and statewide programs. This includes specialized recruitment efforts for high-demand areas such as wildland firefighting, underscoring the critical public safety mission of the corps.
The Analyst 1 Recruiter position at the Fresno Center is a full-time role offering a competitive monthly salary range from $3,861 to $6,276. Candidates will enjoy a hybrid remote work arrangement while actively engaging in in-person recruitment activities, which require travel within the state utilizing a state vehicle. This position is anything but routine, requiring nimbleness, enthusiasm, strong analytical skills, and excellent public speaking abilities to connect with young adults seeking to better themselves and their communities.
In this role, the Analyst 1 Recruiter is charged with managing recruitment pipelines and interactions through the CoRe Salesforce CRM system, ensuring all candidate progress is tracked, analyzed, and optimized to facilitate smooth and timely enrollments. The position demands attention to detail, the ability to interpret complex data, and effective communication across diverse stakeholders. The recruiter's responsibilities span multiple aspects, including evaluating applications, guiding candidates through interviews and enrollment steps, organizing travel logistics for recruits, and collaborating closely with management to maintain recruitment targets.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility, innovation, and a collaborative mindset. Beyond recruitment, the role involves quality assurance measures to uphold the integrity and completeness of candidate data, mentoring others in recruitment best practices, and participating in outreach efforts that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. The CCC values cultural competence and equity, encouraging applicants from historically underrepresented groups, including people with criminal records, to apply.
Additionally, the Analyst 1 Recruiter is expected to establish and maintain productive relationships with various community stakeholders and veteran groups, enhancing CCC’s reach and impact. This position comes with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, professional development assistance, and employee support programs. The CCC cultivates a vibrant and inclusive workplace culture that prioritizes learning, collaboration, and making a tangible difference in California's environment and communities every day.
