This full-time position is centered on providing outstanding guest service as a Guest Service Ambassador with a focus on valet and bellman duties within one of the premier downtown hospitality venues managed by AHC. This role requires weekend availability and plays a crucial part in creating excellent first and last impressions for guests. As a Guest Service Ambassador, you will be responsible for greeting guests as they arrive at the valet motor lobby or main lobby, assisting with luggage, and safely parking and retrieving vehicles. Your ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude while handling guest needs is essential to enhancing the overall guest experience.
Responsibilities include providing timely and secure valet parking services, assisting guests with bell service needs, maintaining cleanliness and safety of the valet motor lobby and surrounding areas, and following strict company standards and procedures. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to run, walk, and stand for upwards of 8 hours
- Vehicle operator's license
- Must be or become TIPS certified
- Related experience is preferred

Job Duties
- Assist guests with any needs, specifically valet and bellman needs
- Drive and park guest's vehicles safely and in a timely manner
- Perform any bell service needs that guests may request
- Provide a safe working environment
- Understand, follow and maintain AHC guest service standards
- Inspect airlock and motor lobby to ensure area is always neat and clean
- Monitor any valet parking department equipment and inform a manager or supervisor of any needed repairs
- Attend departmental meetings
- Follow AHC handbook policies and standard operating procedures
- Actively working, always looking for ways to assists guests and going above and beyond to provide guest service
- Ensuring the quality and level of service that the General Manager, Parking Manager, Manager on Duty and Guests expect is excellent and follows our company standards and policies
- Reads or listens to Daily Beat
- Reads and understands all memos that pertain to their department
- Uses other AHC hotels and staff as resources
- Must be or become TIPS certified
- Complete all daily responsibilities/cleaning task list
- General knowledge of PMS
- Advanced knowledge of Grand Rapids/greater Grand Rapids area
- Ability to lift large parcels
- Ability to build guest relationships
