We are currently seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role requires a motivated individual who is proficient in preparing menu items in accordance with detailed recipes and yield guides, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate. The Line Cook will play a vital role in training and directing other cooks, monitoring their performance, and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout their work areas and equipment. Responsibilities include prepping and assigning production tasks, communicating shift assignments clearly among the team, and managing workstation setups and breakdowns. The position offers a competitive hourly pay rate ranging from $20.00 to $23.00, reflecting the importance of experience and skill within this role. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a hotel, resort, or restaurant kitchen environment, hold required food handling certification, and demonstrate a high work ethic along with the initiative to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced setting. Flexibility to work various schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential, as is a genuine passion for teamwork and delivering exceptional experiences for our guests.

Job Duties

  • Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides
  • Directs, trains, and monitors performance of Line Cooks
  • Maintains organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment
  • Prepare and assign production and prep work for Line Cooks to complete
  • Review priorities
  • Communicate additions or changes to the assignments as they arise throughout the shift
  • Set up work station with required mis en place, tools, equipment and supplies
  • Breakdown work stations and complete closing duties at the end of last shift of the day
  • Inform the Sous Chef of any supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day's tasks
