Job Requirements
- High school education or GED
- Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and/or written instructions in English
- Experience in hospital food service preferred
- Customer service experience
- Skill to operate computer, telephone, steam table and food processors
- Ability to stand, stoop, and lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to work long shifts standing and walking up to 12 hours
- Ability to withstand extreme temperatures
- Effective oral and written communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school education, GED or equivalent work experience
- Experience in hospital food service preferred
- Customer service skills
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Effective communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to operate computer, telephone, steam table and food processors
- Ability to work flexible shifts and in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Take, enter and deliver meals to patients and guests per facility policy
- Enter data into the Electronic Diet Office and document time and location of tray deliveries
- Pick up trays from rooms when meals are complete
- Act as the key personal contact between Nutritional Services and patients following scripting protocols
- Start the trayline flow of orders through Room Service according to diet
- Answer and make phone calls to patients, taking Room Service orders as per diet orders
- Flexibly work as Floor Ambassador, Line Ambassador or Call Center Ambassador based on assigned schedule
