The role of Ambassador at Carriage Services is an essential part-time position based at Lane Funeral Home Coulter Chapel. This role is designed for a compassionate and dedicated individual who will perform various tasks during the funeral and memorialization process. The Ambassador assists Funeral Directors and other location staff to ensure that services run smoothly and that the expectations of client families and their guests are not only met but exceeded. Acting as the face of Carriage Services within the local community, the Ambassador helps build trust and loyalty by fostering genuine connections and providing exceptional customer care.

As an Ambassador, the individual will play a critical role in greeting and directing client families and visitors, escorting them to the appropriate locations for services, and providing needed materials like guest books and memorialization items. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and empathize with families during emotionally charged times, demonstrating tact, patience, and professionalism. Ambassadors are also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of public spaces, ensuring refreshments are available, and handling floral arrangements appropriately.

The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift heavy items, climb, bend, and stand for extended periods. Some duties may require outdoor work under various weather conditions and exposure to potential hazards, necessitating adherence to safety protocols including the use of personal protective equipment. Additionally, the Ambassador must have a valid driving record and be insurable under company vehicle insurance for driving company vehicles.
