Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Previous experience in similar position of 3 months or longer
  • Basic knowledge of customer service principles
  • Knowledge of standard cash-handling procedures
  • Fluency in oral and written English
  • Ability to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer print outs, and written instructions
  • Good manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items, and carry trays
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Full range of mobility to travel up to 300 feet regularly
  • Ability to stand continuously during preparation and service hours
  • Moderate hearing and excellent vision to observe product and customer needs
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Capacity to handle stressful and emotional situations tactfully

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Previous experience in similar position of 3 months or longer
  • Basic knowledge of customer service principles
  • Understanding of food server function and restaurant and kitchen operations
  • Ability to memorize menu items and daily specials
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional and friendly attitude in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Greet and take food and drink orders from restaurant customers
  • Serve orders and accommodate special needs or requests
  • Remain attentive to customers throughout dining experience adhering to service standards
  • Complete all restocking and cleaning duties performing opening and closing sidework
  • Memorize menu items, recipes and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations
  • Maintain cleanliness standards in restaurant, waitstation and kitchen service area
  • Control guest checks following check-use procedures and document all required information
  • Receive proper payment from guests ensuring accuracy of guest check and payment method
  • Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings to enhance communication and product knowledge
  • Respond to customer inquiries and comments providing timely and knowledgeable information
  • Present a clean and professional appearance at all times
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
