Job Requirements
- Minimal physical requirements
- regularly standing
- lifting up to 45 lbs
- ability to speak, read, and write English
- math skills for cash handling

Job Qualifications
- Previous food and beverage serving experience in full service restaurant or lounge
- experience with computerized point of sale systems
- cash handling experience
- ability to follow hotel food and beverage policies regarding sanitation, portion control, serving, storing, food handling and side work
- willingness to interact with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- willingness to assist in all areas of the food and beverage department
- physical ability to perform position functions
Job Duties
- Provide guest service to lounge guests during assigned shift
- set assigned stations according to the set design prior to service period
- keep serving stations stocked and clean including china, glass, silver, food, and beverage
- greet arriving guests within designated time frame
- bus tables, clear, clean and reset for next guests
- practice suggestive selling for all food and beverage orders
- utilize correct timing for placing food orders and delivering condiments
- take care of special guest requests
- correctly enter orders in point of sale system including accurate billing
- verify guest legal drinking age before serving alcoholic beverages
- practice TIPS procedures relating to guest alcohol consumption
- keep menus clean and organized for service periods
- complete opening and closing side duties
- maintain cleanliness of restaurant seating and serving areas
- adhere to hotel food sanitation policies
- practice proper service recovery techniques and resolve guest issues
- report any food or beverage product problems to management
- adhere to food and beverage safety standards especially in kitchen areas
- properly handle chemicals and cleaning agents
- report any injury to supervisor or manager
- perform other assigned duties in food & beverage or other hotel departments
