The Hyatt Regency Columbus is currently seeking a full-time AM Restaurant Line Cook to join their culinary team. This role primarily involves preparing and producing high-quality food items for guests, ensuring that all dishes meet and exceed expectations. The typical work schedule for this position is from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, covering an AM to mid-shift timeframe. This position requires both the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the capability to work solo shifts following adequate training. The role is essential in maintaining culinary excellence and efficient kitchen operations. Responsibilities include communicating effectively with both the culinary and front-of-house teams, reading and executing orders accurately, and adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards. The line cook will also be responsible for preparing all required ingredients before service and executing a la carte orders during the shift while embodying Hyatt’s core values of empathy, integrity, respect, inclusion, experimentation, and wellbeing.

Ideal candidates for this role will have at least two years of line cook experience and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a high-energy, team-oriented setting. They must be physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Flexibility is key, as the role requires working early mornings, weekends, and potentially holidays. The candidate should possess fundamental cooking skills and take pride in maintaining quality and consistency.
