Job Description

Cavalry Court & The George is an esteemed hotel located in College Station, Texas, recognized as a pillar of the community. This distinctive hotel is part of the Valencia Hotel Group, which is a collection of hotels designed for today's passionate traveler. Each hotel within the group is intentionally created to showcase modern design blended with classic character, providing guests with a unique and memorable experience. Cavalry Court & The George is known for its award-winning service and commitment to excellence in hospitality. The establishment prides itself on fostering an environment where outstanding talent can thrive and deliver exceptional customer service to every guest. Being part of this renowned group means being empowered to go above and beyond typical service expectations, contributing to a supportive and dynamic team culture that values dedication, innovation, and authentic guest interactions.

The role available at Cavalry Court & The George focuses heavily on food preparation and service, critical elements of the hotel's overall guest experience. This position requires preparing, cooking, and serving food with utmost quality and sanitation standards, ensuring each dish not only meets but exceeds customer expectations. Employees in this role are demanded to follow meticulous guidelines set forth by the Executive Chef, emphasizing precision in cooking techniques and food presentation. The role is physically demanding, involving activities such as crouching, stooping, twisting, climbing, and working in high-temperature environments reaching up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Handling knives, raw meats, poultry, and fish safely is a vital part of the position requirements, along with the ability to lift and carry heavy items and push or pull carts.

Working in this environment includes exposure to humidity, extreme temperatures, food and beverage items, and cleaning chemicals, which means candidates must be prepared for a hands-on role in a dynamic kitchen atmosphere. This opportunity is ideal for those who have a passion for culinary arts and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where attention to detail and hospitality expertise are paramount. Importantly, the role also demands maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards rigorously, as well as keeping food preparation areas stocked and organized. Regular attendance at meetings, reporting unsafe conditions, maintaining hotel equipment, and demonstrating a courteous attitude towards customers and coworkers alike are essential to success in this position. Candidates who join Cavalry Court & The George will become part of a committed team that values high-quality food preparation, outstanding customer service, and a safe, respectful working environment. This role is not just a job but a chance to grow professionally within a respected hospitality group committed to excellence in the hotel and food service industries.
