Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as crouching, stooping, twisting, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work in hot and humid environments
  • Ability to handle kitchen tools and raw food safely
  • Availability to attend required meetings
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to report unsafe conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knife handling skills
  • Understanding of proper food storage and inventory management

Job Duties

  • Follow Executive Chef's guidelines on cooking technique and plating
  • Assist in the proper utilization of excess food product for lowest possible attainable food cost
  • Set up and maintain stock of food-preparation line
  • Prepare food as required in a timely manner
  • Attend required meetings
  • Keep work areas clean, sanitized, and organized
  • Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees
  • Report unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately
  • Maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions
  • Perform any other duties assigned by immediate supervisor
