The Cook position involves assisting the Chef in food production and preparation for various dining formats including cafeteria, banquets, and fine dining. This role carries a passive leadership component, focusing on maintaining adequate production levels amongst kitchen staff. The job offers the chance to develop proficiency in different cooking methods such as grilling, sautéing, and frying while mastering knife skills and kitchen equipment operation. Consistency in food preparation and an understanding of minimizing food waste through cross-utilization are essential facets of the position.

- Active food handler’s certification or the ability to get it
- Must be willing to work a variety of day, night and weekend shifts
- Requires strong organizational skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
