- willingness to work varied day, night, and weekend shifts
Job Duties
- develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods such as grill, sauté and fry
- use knives and various kitchen equipment effectively
- reach and recreate recipes consistently
- minimize food waste through cross utilization
- work with culinary leadership to create menus reflecting seasonal availability
- create and maintain organized workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables and cutting meat
- maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
- ensure proper storage of all food and items
- oversee quality of ingredients
- assist Chef in production and fabrication of food products for different dining formats
- maintain adequate production levels from kitchen staff
