Job Description

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a fast-growing, family-owned company that operates over 60 communities nationwide, providing a resort-style living experience for seniors. At RLC, serving seniors is not just a job, but a calling. The company prides itself on fostering a close-knit, servant-hearted community that upholds core values including respect, honesty, kindness and compassion, and service excellence. These values guide every aspect of their operations, ensuring an uplifting and supportive environment for both staff and residents alike. RLC strives for four essential goals: happy employees, happy residents, full occupancy, and on-budget operations. This balanced focus creates a harmonious and thriving community environment that benefits everyone involved.

The role of AM Kitchen Helper at Resort Lifestyle Communities is designed to contribute significantly to the dining experience of the residents. This full-time position operates on a consistent schedule from Sunday to Thursday, 6:30am to 3:00pm, offering a dependable routine for team members. As the AM Kitchen Helper, you will be instrumental in preparing, stocking, and maintaining an appealing and fresh salad bar each morning, helping to start the residents' days positively. Your responsibilities extend beyond the kitchen as you provide friendly support in the dining room, assisting residents with a welcoming demeanor and ensuring tables remain clean and organized. Maintaining safety and hygiene is critical; you will be tasked with meticulously washing and sanitizing tableware, cookware, and kitchen equipment to meet health standards and promote a safe dining environment.

No previous culinary experience is required for this role, making it accessible to individuals who are at least 18 years old and able to work the designated schedule. Additionally, new hires must be able to obtain food handler permits within the first two weeks of employment, adhering to local ordinances. The AM Kitchen Helper position fosters hands-on engagement with kitchen appliances like dish machines, ovens, steamers, and grills while supporting overall food preparation activities. You will also respond politely to residents' feedback about food and promptly escalate concerns to leadership, helping uphold the high standards of service excellence that RLC is known for.

This position offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including a $341 benefit stipend per pay period applicable toward health, dental, vision coverage, life insurance, short and long-term disability, HSA, FSA, LSA accounts, accident and hospital indemnity plans, and legal and identity theft protection. Paid time off and a 401(k) with employer match are also included, encouraging long-term career growth and wellbeing.

Joining Resort Lifestyle Communities as an AM Kitchen Helper means becoming part of a purpose-driven role within a supportive leadership structure and a beautiful, resort-style environment. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day by bringing a servant’s heart to a place that feels like family, ensuring that seniors enjoy a quality dining experience in a warm and welcoming community.
