Job Description

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a fast-growing, family-owned company that operates over 60 senior living communities nationwide. Dedicated to serving seniors, RLC fosters a close-knit, servant-hearted community guided by its core values: Respect, Honesty, Kindness & Compassion, and Service Excellence. This focus ensures a work environment where every employee is valued and empowered to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents. At RLC, the mission is driven by four essential goals: happy employees, happy residents, full occupancy, and on-budget operations. This holistic approach to senior care creates a supportive, resort-style environment in which both residents and employees thrive.

Joining RLC means becoming part of a purpose-driven team passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors. The company values the contributions of each team member and strives to create a workplace culture that reflects respect, integrity, kindness, and excellence in service. With supportive leadership and comprehensive benefits, RLC offers a fulfilling career path within senior living communities that feel like family.

About the Role: The AM Cook position at Resort Lifestyle Communities is a vital role responsible for starting each day with great food and energy. Working within a scratch-based kitchen, this role involves safely and efficiently preparing a variety of meals that are both high-quality and visually appealing. The AM Cook pays close attention to detail, ensuring that every plate meets the portion sizes preferred by residents and maintains an inviting presentation.

Beyond cooking, this role centers on building positive relationships with residents, guests, and team members, thus contributing to a warm and inclusive community atmosphere. The AM Cook works consistently from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with flexibility to cover the PM shift when necessary. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and able to read, speak, and understand basic English. While kitchen preparation and cooking experience is preferred, RLC supports employees in obtaining necessary food handler permits within two weeks of employment.

This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and a robust benefits package. The AM Cook supports the kitchen by preparing a wide array of proteins and vegetables using cooking methods such as broiling, grilling, frying, and sautéing. They help maintain the kitchen’s cleanliness and safety by performing opening and closing tasks, stocking supplies, and adhering to sanitation standards. The role encourages continuous improvement and teamwork, asking employees to contribute ideas that enhance kitchen operations and resident satisfaction.

Working at RLC offers the chance to be part of a growing company that values your contributions and supports your professional growth while delivering exceptional food and service in a beautiful, resort-style senior living environment. This position is perfect for individuals who want to cultivate a meaningful career in senior care, combining culinary skills with servant-hearted service, all while benefiting from a supportive, family-like atmosphere and excellent work-life balance.
