Our establishment is a well-regarded local restaurant situated in Washougal, Washington, known for its commitment to serving high-quality breakfast dishes in a welcoming atmosphere. We specialize in traditional breakfast favorites alongside regional and dietary-specific options, catering to a diverse customer base. We are currently seeking an experienced breakfast cook to join our kitchen team for a part-time role with potential for full-time hours for the right candidate. This role primarily involves preparing a variety of breakfast dishes such as eggs, pancakes, and waffles, as well as preparing specialized regional or dietary breakfast options to meet the diverse needs of our customers. The chosen candidate will be responsible for setting up and stocking kitchen stations with all the necessary supplies to ensure efficient meal preparation. Attention to detail is crucial, as food preparation must adhere strictly to the chef's specifications and menu requirements.

In addition to cooking duties, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and food preparation areas is essential. The breakfast cook will also be tasked with monitoring and managing inventory levels for breakfast foods and supplies to ensure smooth operation during busy weekend shifts. Compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations is mandatory, alongside regular maintenance and proper handling of kitchen equipment to keep everything in good working order.

The role requires close coordination with other kitchen staff and waitstaff to provide a cohesive dining experience for guests during breakfast hours, which is currently Saturday and Sunday only. We emphasize excellent customer service, encouraging the breakfast cook to accommodate special requests whenever possible. While our main business operates on weekends for breakfast, there are lunch and dinner shifts available for those interested in expanding their working hours.

Candidates must have weekend availability and be prepared to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Although this is a part-time position initially, we offer room for growth into full-time employment for dedicated and skilled individuals. Note that we are closed on Mondays, providing a predictable schedule that balances work and personal time. This position is ideal for experienced cooks who are passionate about breakfast cuisine and devoted to high culinary standards and teamwork.
