The role of Breakfast Attendant at AC Hotel Denver RiNo is a full-time, non-management position essential to the Food and Beverage & Culinary team. This position is highly customer-facing and responsible for maintaining the breakfast area to ensure a pleasant and seamless dining experience for guests during the morning meal service. The Breakfast Attendant's duties involve the preparation and setup of the buffet according to hotel standards, stock management, and ongoing upkeep of the serving area. Central to this role is the ability to deliver excellent customer service by welcoming guests warmly, presenting menus, taking and processing orders, and assisting with dietary accommodations. The role requires vigilance in food safety and hygiene, as well as maintaining cleanliness of dining areas and breakfast equipment. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment are critical for success. The attentiveness to guest requests and maintaining the operational status of breakfast equipment like coffee machines and juice dispensers are additional responsibilities. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food service in a hotel environment is preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is desirable
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, or stooping
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Duties

  • Prepares and sets up the buffet area according to hotel standards
  • Ensures that all food and beverage items are fresh, replenished, and presented attractively
  • Greet guests promptly and provide a welcoming dining experience
  • Present menus and explain offerings
  • Records and enters guests’ orders, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
  • Assists guests with entree selections and accommodate special dietary needs when necessary
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure correct order and presentation
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, counters, and floors
  • Prepare and process checks, including handling payments and transactions
  • Monitors and ensures food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times
  • Cleans and sanitizes equipment and utensils after each use
  • Ensures that all items are restocked as needed throughout the service period
  • Assists with the breakdown of the buffet area and cleans the area after service
  • Responds to guest requests and resolves any issues promptly and professionally
  • Ensures that coffee machines, juice dispensers, and other breakfast equipment are in good working order
  • Promptly reports any maintenance issues to the appropriate staff
  • Performs other duties as assigned
