The position available is for a Food and Beverage professional at Hotel Valley Ho, focusing on delivering high-quality, consistent liquor service in a courteous and professional manner. The Food and Beverage team member is expected to be knowledgeable about all liquor products, possess expertise in wine varietals, and adhere strictly to service etiquette. The position requires adherence to local liquor laws and company policies, completion of alcohol training, and a comprehensive understanding of beverage service procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar area, accurately producing drinks as per recipes, collaborating with servers on guest orders, and handling post-service cleanup and reporting. The role also involves participating in staff meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new offerings. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Be thoroughly familiar with all standards of proper service etiquette and adhere to these standards
  • Suggest food to every guest as part of sales
  • Adhere to all local liquor laws as well as company and departmental policies regarding alcoholic beverages
  • Complete Alcohol Training Program
  • Know all spirited beverages, cigars, and wines by the glass available
  • Familiar with ZuZu wine list and able to discuss regions, styles, and varietals
  • Know all drink recipes including garnish, glassware, and service and use them consistently
  • Know all drink prices and use them during service
  • Have strong working knowledge of micros ordering system and check processing
  • Familiar with requisitioning, receiving, rotation, and stocking of beverage items
  • Be familiar with emergency safety measures such as Heimlich maneuver and fire evacuation
  • Sign out bar keys from security and ensure bar is never left unlocked or unattended
  • Review bartender stations for stocking
  • Fill ice bins throughout service
  • Set up glass washer with proper detergents and sanitizers
  • Requisition and stock cleaning chemicals as needed
  • Ensure cocktail server is ready for service
  • Inform manager of any dispenser problems
  • Produce drinks as ordered through the micros system
  • Use "bar brands" when call brands are not specified
  • Replace drinks and record complaints
  • Maintain bar cleanliness
  • Present guest checks
  • Perform post-service cleaning duties
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks
  • Obtain service report and finalize settlements
  • Return bar keys to security
  • Work special group functions
  • Perform duties requested by food and beverage supervisors
  • Attend staff meetings and training including wine tastings and pre-service meetings
  • Pull working liquor bottles and set displays
  • Prepare garnishes, juices, and mixes
  • Set up bartender prep stations
  • Take inventory of liquor deliveries
  • Complete daily cleaning
  • Wash, dry, and polish glassware
