We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic server to join our dedicated team at Nakoma Golf Club. This role is crucial in ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable dining and event experience within the club. The ideal candidate will have experience in serving with a keen understanding of food and beverage service, including wine service and event serving. Strong multitasking abilities, organization skills, attention to detail, and a hospitality-focused mindset are essential attributes for success in this position. The role involves more than just serving food and drinks; it requires active engagement in event setup and breakdown, phone reception, and reservation taking. Cross-training in various positions within the club is encouraged to promote versatility and growth.

This position demands weekend and holiday availability, aligning with the club's operational schedule, especially during the busy golf season. Applicants with availability extending beyond the golf season will be given priority. Staff members are expected to work a minimum of three shifts per week during peak season. It is important to note that the clubhouse closes on Mondays, reduces certain services in the winter months, and fully shuts down for a few weeks in February. Compensation for this role begins at a base wage of $12 per hour plus tips, with event wages at $16 per hour plus additional potential tips depending on the specific event.

Candidates should possess a strong foundation in the basic steps of service, a good sense of spatial awareness, and an ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience in country clubs and bartending is advantageous but not mandatory. Above all, Nakoma Golf Club values initiative, a willingness to learn, and the ability to ask questions as key factors in professional growth and success within this role.
