Job Description
San Antonio Recovery Center is a leading facility committed to helping individuals achieve lasting sobriety through comprehensive care and compassionate support. Founded by and staffed with individuals in recovery themselves, this center offers an environment that promotes healing while treating residents with the respect and dignity they deserve. Their approach combines individualized care with evidence-based clinical methods that ensure effective treatment outcomes. The center not only focuses on clinical recovery but also emphasizes continuous support through its alumni programs, which foster community connection and ongoing engagement post-treatment. This dedication places the San Antonio Recovery Center as a premier organization in the addiction recovery field, addressing critical needs within communities and contributing to overcoming the opioid epidemic.
The role of Alumni Coordinator at the San Antonio Recovery Center is a full-time position focused on planning, implementing, and executing programming and services tailored for alumni of the facility. This role is crucial in fostering a supportive network that extends beyond initial treatment, helping individuals maintain their recovery journey through continued engagement with the facility and its community resources. The Alumni Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of activities including event planning, alumni engagement, volunteer management, communications, social media outreach, and organizing local alumni programming. By creating and managing diverse programs, the coordinator empowers alumni to stay connected, share their experiences, and support each other in ongoing sobriety.
This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent planning and relationship-building skills who can effectively promote the alumni program to patients, staff, and the broader community. The coordinator acts as a front-line resource handling inquiries, managing alumni databases, coordinating recovery-oriented meetings, and supporting the integration of alumni activities with overall marketing and discharge planning teams. A vital part of the role involves organizing special events on and offsite, developing networking opportunities, and creating marketing collateral to boost alumni engagement. Additionally, this role promotes a culture of wellness by conducting routine follow-up calls with discharged patients to ensure adherence to aftercare plans and facilitate connections within the recovery community.
The Alumni Coordinator must be flexible, willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to support events, and maintain professionalism and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and generous paid time off. It is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the recovery community, playing an essential role in the success and sustainability of the San Antonio Recovery Center’s alumni program while actively participating in the mission to combat addiction and promote lasting sobriety.
