The Alternative Investments Middle Office Support Consultant role is an integral part of this team, positioned to ensure smooth and effective processing of alternative investment activities in partnership with financial advisors, product teams, and operational groups. This full-time position located at 550 South Tryon Street in Charlotte, North Carolina, offers a dynamic environment for professionals aiming to build expertise in alternative investment support functions.

In this capacity, the professional will engage in high-touch service work, assisting financial advisors and field teams by resolving inquiries and operational challenges related to alternative investment products. This involves extensive interaction through multiple communication channels including phone and email, aimed at delivering best-in-class customer service experiences. The consultant will troubleshoot transaction issues, manage account documentation requirements, and contribute to educational initiatives that equip advisors with the knowledge they need to confidently serve clients investing in alternative assets.

The role demands strong problem- solving skills, the ability to navigate complex financial product structures, and a client-focused mindset. Working collaboratively with various internal departments, the consultant helps manage escalations, ensures compliance with policies and procedures, and supports the timely execution of alternative investment trades and related activities. Job Requirements

  • 6+ months of customer service, financial services or contact center experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Ability to answer phones professionally and demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving customer issues

Job Qualifications

  • 6+ months of customer service, financial services or contact center experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Experience working within the Investment Contact Center and/or financial services
  • Experience working with alternative investments in investment operations, wealth management or servicing setting
  • Prior experience in client service roles supporting HNW/UHNW advisors
  • Ability to answer phones in a professional and friendly manner, demonstrating effective communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving customer issues

Job Duties

  • Support financial advisors and field teams by assisting the field with questions on alternative investment products through phone, email, and other inquiries
  • Assist the business with project work and education to the field on alternatives
  • Provide support around alternative investment trades
  • Provide support to navigate account management, documentation, and technical needs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated advisor or client-service issues, including transaction status questions, account restrictions, subscription/redemption questions, trade errors, or process delays
  • Receive direction from managers and exercise judgment within defined parameters while developing understanding of the related policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Act as a primary support person for advisors and internal partners supporting customer services
  • Provide information to managers as well as internal and advisors to resolve issues
