Job Description
The Aloft El Segundo - Los Angeles Airport and Fairfield by Marriott El Segundo/LAX represent a dynamic, dual-branded hotel property located in the vibrant El Segundo area of Los Angeles. These sister hotels cater to modern travelers, offering a blend of comfort, style, and accessibility. Situated less than a mile from LAX airport, the property boasts complimentary 24-hour shuttle services, ensuring hassle-free transportation for guests. Additionally, the location is ideal for business travelers due to its proximity to major corporate offices such as Mattel, Raytheon, and Northrop Grumman. Guests enjoy a plethora of nearby shopping destinations, beaches, and engaging social spaces like the W XYZ Bar and the re:mix lounge. The Aloft brand is particularly noted for its contemporary design, ultra-comfortable signature beds, and custom amenities provided by Bliss Spa, appealing to a youthful and sophisticated clientele.
Joining the team as a Housekeeping Supervisor at this dual-branded property provides an exceptional opportunity to lead and manage a dedicated housekeeping team in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service that define the Aloft and Fairfield by Marriott brands. This full-time position involves overseeing daily housekeeping operations, conducting inspections, managing productivity reports, and ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas meet stringent cleanliness standards.
The role requires a hands-on leader who can motivate and inspire a team of Room Attendants and House Attendants through clear communication, effective training, and ongoing support. As the front-line manager in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for maintaining operational continuity and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Attention to detail is paramount in managing lost-and-found items, maintaining key control, and safeguarding access to sensitive areas within the hotel.
The Housekeeping Supervisor will also champion safety and sanitation protocols, setting a high bar for cleanliness that contributes directly to guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of the property. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to operational excellence, team leadership, and guest service. With a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a hotel or related field and supervisory experience preferred, the ideal candidate will bring both the technical knowledge and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in this rewarding role.
The position offers competitive compensation, including the advantage of daily pay after an initial waiting period. The benefits package is comprehensive, featuring medical, dental, and vision coverage; short-term and long-term disability income; term life and AD&D insurance; paid time off; an employee assistance program; and a 401k retirement plan. This supportive environment encourages career growth and development within a renowned hospitality brand where employee well-being and guest satisfaction are top priorities.
