Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant or Lab Technician certification preferred
- Licensed nurse a plus
- Current CPR certification
- Familiarity with antigen panels or shot room operations advantageous
- Must be self-directed
- Ability to work independently
- High attention to detail
- Capability to work in isolated environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with Rosch and NextGen systems preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Medical Assistant or Lab Technician at minimum
- Licensed nurse preferred
- Current CPR certification required
- Familiarity with antigen panels or shot room experience a plus
- Must be self-directed and able to work independently
- Attention to detail and highly focused is a must
- Ability to work in an isolated environment daily
- Professional, calm and courteous demeanor
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Rosch and NextGen experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Communicate effectively with other members of the health care team including accurate documentation in patient medical records
- Follow policies, procedures and protocols and implement appropriately in the lab
- Prepare and mix antigen according to formulary
- Assist in preparing to ship out antigen to offices
- Assist in maintaining daily reports
- Cross-train in back-office responsibilities
- Maintain supplies, equipment and restock at the end of each day
- Clean and sterilize the workstation
- Respond to nurse phone calls
- Follow HIPAA policies and procedures
- Respect and maintain patient confidentiality
- Follow OSHA regulations and guidelines of the practice
- Perform specific job duties assigned
