Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant or Lab Technician certification preferred
  • Licensed nurse a plus
  • Current CPR certification
  • Familiarity with antigen panels or shot room operations advantageous
  • Must be self-directed
  • Ability to work independently
  • High attention to detail
  • Capability to work in isolated environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Rosch and NextGen systems preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant or Lab Technician at minimum
  • Licensed nurse preferred
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Familiarity with antigen panels or shot room experience a plus
  • Must be self-directed and able to work independently
  • Attention to detail and highly focused is a must
  • Ability to work in an isolated environment daily
  • Professional, calm and courteous demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Rosch and NextGen experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Communicate effectively with other members of the health care team including accurate documentation in patient medical records
  • Follow policies, procedures and protocols and implement appropriately in the lab
  • Prepare and mix antigen according to formulary
  • Assist in preparing to ship out antigen to offices
  • Assist in maintaining daily reports
  • Cross-train in back-office responsibilities
  • Maintain supplies, equipment and restock at the end of each day
  • Clean and sterilize the workstation
  • Respond to nurse phone calls
  • Follow HIPAA policies and procedures
  • Respect and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Follow OSHA regulations and guidelines of the practice
  • Perform specific job duties assigned
