ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida operates as a full-time employer and supports professional growth, offering a stable and rewarding work experience in a healthcare setting that values precision and patient safety.
The role of Allergy Mixing Technician is a vital part of the practice's allergy services, supporting the safe and effective preparation of patient-specific antigens for allergy testing and treatment. An Allergy Mixing Technician works primarily within the laboratory environment and has responsibilities that require meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle a high volume of incoming requests in a fast-paced clinical setting. The position demands someone who is a self-starter, motivated, and dedicated to maintaining strict compliance with safety and quality standards. The Allergy Mixing Technician will review allergy lab orders, prepare and accurately mix patient-specific antigen vials according to prescribed formulations, and ensure every vial is labeled with precise patient information and a unique identification number. This technician also documents all vial components into the mixing room database and the allergy electronic medical record (EMR), validating dosing and other critical information to support patient safety and billing integrity. Additionally, the role includes billing charge entry, transporting vials as necessary, generating weekly reports, and upholding company codes of conduct and compliance policies. This comprehensive set of duties ensures the practice can provide timely and reliable allergy testing services crucial for patient diagnosis and treatment. This position requires coordination with various team members and occasionally involves physical tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. It may also require traveling between office locations to support operational needs. ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida is an equal opportunity employer that values a tobacco-free workforce and maintains thorough background checks including criminal, credit, drug, and license verification for all candidates. This role offers full benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, 401(k), paid holidays, and paid time off.
