Job Description

The South Bend Clinic is a respected healthcare provider located at Eddy Street Campus in South Bend, Indiana. Known for its comprehensive medical services and commitment to patient care, this clinic emphasizes collaborating with dedicated healthcare professionals to foster a supportive, inclusive, and innovative environment. Their mission revolves around delivering excellent healthcare solutions tailored to the unique needs of the community while investing in the personal and professional development of their staff. This results in a workplace where quality, compassion, and excellence are paramount. The South Bend Clinic stands out by not only offering outstanding patient care but also focusing on its employees' well-being through holistic benefits and a culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The role available at the South Bend Clinic's Allergy Department is a PRN (pro re nata or as-needed) position requiring a minimum of one shift per month, plus providing coverage during paid time off averaging approximately six weeks per year. This position favors experienced professionals including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) who have experience or interest in allergy immunotherapy. The primary responsibility of this role involves the preparation and mixing of allergy immunotherapy vials according to provider orders and strict safety protocols.

This role is critical for ensuring accurate and safe administration of allergy treatments, contributing to patient wellness within the clinic. It requires meticulous documentation and labeling of allergy extracts and patient-specific mixtures, adherence to infection control protocols, and compliance with rigorous safety, storage, and quality assurance standards. The individual hired will actively monitor inventory and supplies, collaborating closely with clinical providers and staff to maximize efficiency and support seamless patient care. This dynamic environment rewards strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication, making it ideal for professionals who strive for precision under fast-paced clinical demands.

The South Bend Clinic distinguishes itself by offering its team members a comprehensive benefits package that includes financial wellness programs such as daily pay access, tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 annually, a competitive 401(k) plan with matching contributions, and a fully vested retirement plan after three years. Health and well-being are also prioritized through comprehensive medical and prescription coverage, including 100% coverage after deductible when using a Duly provider. Unique benefits such as pet health coverage further demonstrate the clinic's holistic approach to employee wellness.

Supporting work-life balance, the clinic provides paid volunteer time annually, generous parental leave with full pay, including adoption and surrogacy benefits for non-physician staff. Additionally, the clinic fosters an inclusive culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion with a commitment to positive social impact. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals seeking a meaningful, impactful position in a supportive and progressive healthcare setting such as the South Bend Clinic.
