The Production Cook role at LEGENDS Global Moscone Center is a vital position responsible for preparing and maintaining high-quality food products in alignment with the company’s global culinary standards. This position involves preparing menu items as directed on the Production Sheet, ensuring strict adherence to recipes and food production guidelines outlined in the LEGENDS Global standard recipe book or as instructed by managers. The role requires the preparation of various cold food items such as salads, sandwiches, and hors d'oeuvres, maintaining impeccable quality and consistency. The Production Cook is also responsible for operating kitchen equipment safely and maintaining sanitary conditions in the work environment. The role plays a crucial part in upholding safety, sanitation, and health code standards, ensuring compliance at every stage of food preparation.

This full-time position calls for individuals who demonstrate progressively responsible experience in food production, possess strong knowledge of food service health standards, and exhibit a pleasant personality with neat appearance. The Production Cook must communicate effectively in English and be willing to join or already be a member of the relevant local union. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have progressively responsible experience as a production cook
  • Must have basic working knowledge of food service health codes and standards
  • Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work
  • Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance
  • Must speak and understand English
  • Must be a member in good standing of the local Union or willing to become a member of Unite Here! Local 2

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have progressively responsible experience as a production cook gained through apprenticeship or on-the-job training at a comparable food service facility
  • Must have basic working knowledge of food service health codes and standards
  • Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work
  • Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance
  • Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors, and employees
  • Must be a member in good standing of the local Union or be willing to become a member of Unite Here! Local 2

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu items as directed on production sheet
  • Follow recipes and menu as outlined by Catering by LEGENDS Global standard recipe book or as directed
  • Maintain quality food production standards of Catering by LEGENDS Global
  • Maintain safe and sanitary working conditions and environment
  • Prepare cold food items including but not limited to salads, sandwiches, hors d’oeuvres, as instructed by Production Sheet or Manager
  • Follow all rules and regulations of Catering by LEGENDS Global
  • Safely operate all equipment used at the location
  • Maintain safety, sanitation, and health code standards
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Manager, or Supervisor
