The Production Cook role at Legends Global is an integral part of the culinary team, responsible for preparing a wide array of menu items as detailed on the Production Sheet. The role demands adherence to the company’s standard recipe book, ensuring consistency, high-quality food production, and strict compliance with health and safety standards. The Production Cook will engage in creating hot and cold food items across multiple stations, such as Fry/Sauté, Broiler/Roast, Breakfast, and Stock, Soups, Sauces stations, among others.

Safety and sanitary working conditions are paramount for this role, requiring vigilance and ongoing attention to cleanliness and proper food handling procedures. Production Cooks will operate various kitchen equipment safely and maintain adherence to health codes, contributing to a safe and efficient kitchen environment. The position reports directly to the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Manager, or Supervisor and may be tasked with other related responsibilities to support overall kitchen functionality.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have had progressively responsible experience as a production cook gained through apprenticeship or on-the-job training at a comparable food service facility
  • Must have basic working knowledge of food service health codes and standards
  • Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work
  • Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance
  • Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors and employees
  • Must be a member in good standing of the local Union or be willing to become a member of Unite Here! Local 2

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu items as directed on Production Sheet
  • Follow recipes and menu as outlined by Catering by Legends Global standard recipe book or as directed
  • Maintain quality food production standards of Catering By Legends Global
  • Maintain safe and sanitary working conditions and environment
  • Prepare hot food items for any or all work stations including Fry/Sauté Station, Broiler/Roast Station, Breakfast Station, Stock, Soups, Sauces Station, and others as assigned
  • Prepare cold food items including salads, sandwiches, hors d’oeuvres as instructed by Production Sheet or Manager
  • Follow all rules and regulations of Catering by Legends Global
  • Safely operate all equipment used at the location
  • Maintain safety, sanitation, and health code standards
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Manager, or Supervisor
