Job Description

Ho-Chunk, Inc. is a distinguished economic development corporation representing the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. The organization is deeply committed to fostering sustainable economic growth and generating meaningful employment prospects for Tribal members. With a mission to support and uplift its community, Ho-Chunk, Inc. owns and operates several divisions, including WarHorse Gaming, aiming to blend entertainment with economic progress. WarHorse Gaming, the gaming and entertainment segment of Ho-Chunk, Inc., functions in partnership with the Nebraska Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA). This collaboration oversees the expansion and management of casino gaming at Nebraska's historic horse racing venues across Lincoln, Omaha, and South Sioux City. Through the integration of modern casino operations with community development efforts, WarHorse Gaming strives to create premier entertainment venues that contribute positively to local economies and provide exceptional experiences for guests.

The role of a Busser at WarHorse Gaming is integral to delivering outstanding dining experiences within this vibrant gaming and entertainment environment. As a full-time position based in Omaha, NE, with a varying schedule responsive to business needs, the Busser ensures that dining areas are impeccably maintained, organized, and adequately stocked, helping to create welcoming spaces for patrons. This role involves responsibilities such as clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables efficiently and hygienically, as well as supporting servers by assisting with beverage and food delivery. This position also requires attentiveness to sanitation protocols and service standards to uphold the company’s commitment to guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Working as a Busser at WarHorse Gaming offers an opportunity to be part of a team guided by core NATIVE values—Native American owned and proud, accountable, team-focused, innovative, visionary, and dedicated to excellence. The role promises a dynamic environment where employees contribute to the smooth flow of restaurant operations, maintain cleanliness, and assist in various service tasks. Compensation for this part-time position starts at $16.00 per hour, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including Federal Employees Medical Coverage, full insurance offerings, 401K with day one vesting and company match, quarterly incentives, vacation, holiday and sick days, and a discounted meal program.

Ultimately, this Busser role is critical in supporting the guest service team to enhance the overall dining experience. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills, a commitment to ethical conduct and guest satisfaction, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy hospitality setting. This role requires physical stamina and agility, given the demands of standing and walking throughout shifts, carrying trays and supplies, and maintaining attention to detail in a busy restaurant environment. WarHorse Gaming emphasizes a positive, inclusive work culture that values innovation, teamwork, and professional growth opportunities. Joining WarHorse Gaming means contributing to a mission-driven enterprise that fuses Tribal values with a visionary approach to entertainment and community impact.
