Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries. Established with a mission rooted in service, Aramark is united by a purpose to do great things for its employees, partners, communities, and the planet. The company believes in providing equal employment opportunities and fostering an inclusive environment where every employee can participate fully and develop their talents. They emphasize a workplace culture that respects diversity and prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation, and many other protected characteristics. Aramark’s commitment extends beyond just providing a job; it focuses on empowering employees through career development, fueling their passions, and supporting their professional growth.
The Food Service Supervisor position at Aramark is a full-time role designed for individuals who are ready to step up in their career and take on leadership responsibilities within the food services team. Working closely alongside a manager, the supervisor will help coordinate daily operations, oversee staff members, and ensure that food production and service meet the company’s high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, sanitary environment while promoting teamwork, employee growth, and excellent public relations.
As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining work schedules, preparing production packets including recipes and production sheets, and directing daily activities to keep operations running smoothly. You will ensure that food safety and quality standards are adhered to according to departmental policies and procedures. This includes monitoring food storage conditions to maintain a hazard-free environment, managing inventory accurately on a weekly basis, and preparing orders as needed to meet production demands.
Leadership is a core component of this role. You'll supervise and evaluate employees, offer counseling when necessary, and promote an atmosphere that encourages efficiency, morale, and teamwork. Part of your responsibilities will include training and mentoring food service workers, maintaining logs on equipment maintenance, and ensuring that all food safety and temperature logs are completed with appropriate corrective actions taken if needed. Preventative maintenance of equipment is also a key task, along with recommending equipment replacements to keep the facility well-equipped.
Flexibility is important in this role as well, as the supervisor may need to fill in for absent employees, work occasional nights and weekends for catered events, and perform cashier duties as necessary. You will also maintain communication with office staff, attend food service meetings, and ensure daily catering events are prepared and delivered on time. This role demands strong multitasking abilities and the emotional control to handle stress effectively.
In sum, the Food Service Supervisor role at Aramark offers a unique opportunity to lead, grow, and make a meaningful impact within a globally recognized food services company. If you are passionate about food service and ready to enhance your career with a company that values its employees and communities, Aramark provides a supportive environment where you can thrive and develop professionally.
