The role available is for a Line Cook, working the 2pm to 10pm shift with Mondays and Tuesdays off. The position offers a competitive wage of $23 per hour and provides flexible payment options with the ability to get paid daily, weekly, or biweekly—tailored to meet the financial needs of employees. As a Line Cook at AJ's Steakhouse, you will be instrumental in all phases of food preparation, production, and presentation for both the hot line and banquet services. This role requires meticulous attention to quality, presentation, and safety standards, ensuring each dish meets the high expectations of the restaurant and its patrons. Key responsibilities include checking in deliveries, operating standard commercial kitchen equipment, setting up and cleaning workstations, and performing accurate testing of prepared food items. The position demands a commitment to maintaining sanitation standards and food safety practices, including labeling and dating products. - 2 - 4 years experience in food preparation
- ability to withstand repetitive reaching and bending
- responsible handling of hot equipment and sharp objects
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push a cart up to 150 lbs
- ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied hours

- if an internal candidate, completion of the Cooking Practical for Line Cook I to advance to Line Cook II
